Before taking early retirement in 2001, Merritt was a senior executive with several leading companies which provided financial and technology services.  He has an extensive and successful background in management, marketing, sales, and contract negotiations.  Upon retirement, he and Chris (wife of 36 years) moved permanently to Amelia Island where they had enjoyed a vacation home for several years.

Merritt began what has become a successful second career in 2003 with Prudential Chaplin Williams Realty, Inc.  Upon completion of his first year in real estate sales. the Nassau County Association of Realtors recognized his accomplishment of selling more real estate than any other first year realtor.  By utilizing a high quality of standards an business ethics, his success in helping others buy and sell their homes has continued.

Merritt specializes in resort properties, second and retirement homes, as well as investment properties on Amelia Island and throughout Nassau County and Northern Florida.  He cares about people and has the business knowledge to make his clients real estate transactions a positive experience.
